The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) (May–October 2025)

Drafting Food Systems Transformation/Nutrition Research Agenda
We are currently supporting GAIN in shaping a comprehensive research agenda that links food systems transformation with improved nutrition outcomes. This assignment aims to identify evidence gaps, set research priorities, and provide a roadmap that strengthens national nutrition policy and its implementation, food system transformation, health, and sustainability.

Sindh Government/World Bank (Sept 2022–June 2023)

Evaluation of Project Environmental & Social Performance – Sindh Irrigated Agriculture Productivity Enhancement Project (SIAPEP)
Our team conducted an in-depth evaluation of SIAPEP’s environmental and social performance under the project’s Environmental and Social Management Plan. The study assessed compliance, documented best practices, and identified areas for improvement to ensure sustainability and inclusivity in future agricultural interventions.

Sindh Community Foundation (October-November 2025)

Community-Based Disaster Risk Management (CBDRM) training for communities, Community Institutions (CIs), and Local Authorities (LAs): Partners in Development and Consultancy (PIDC) is conducting Community-Based Disaster Risk Management (CBDRM) training for communities, Community Institutions (CIs), and Local Authorities (LAs) in collaboration with the Sindh Community Foundation during October–November 2025. The training is designed to enhance local capacity, strengthen institutional preparedness, and promote community resilience in the face of disasters.

Policy Research Institute for Equitable Development - PRIED Pvt. Ltd. (Feb–June 2022)

Adverse Water Impacts of Coal Mining and Thermal Power Plants in Thar 
We carried out a critical study on the water-related impacts of coal mining and thermal power operations in Thar. The assignment highlighted risks to groundwater, ecosystems, and communities, while providing actionable recommendations to balance development with environmental sustainability.

Development of Budget Primer on Green Budgeting 
We developed a practical budget primer to introduce policymakers and civil society stakeholders to the concept of green budgeting. The primer simplified complex ideas, linking budget processes with climate resilience and sustainable resource management.

ITC and Research & Development Foundation (Mar–Apr 2021)

Quick Analysis of Business Cases & Proposal Development 
Our team analysed existing business cases in Thatta, Khairpur, and Karachi to design 20 high-quality proposals for matching grants. These proposals, aligned with ITC guidelines, aimed to boost product development and market expansion in horticulture and livestock sectors.

WSIP Project Case Studies 
Our team developed 10 detailed case studies capturing diverse aspects of WSIP’s interventions. These showcased community-level impacts, institutional reforms, and innovations, offering valuable learning for scaling and replication.

Research & Development Foundation (Jul-August 2019)

Foundation Training Course on Water for Youth
We designed and delivered a foundational training course for young people, introducing them to critical water management concepts and practices. The program encouraged youth participation in sustainable water governance and stewardship.

HANDS/USAID (Nov 2017–Feb 2018)

Formative Research on Political Economy of Water in North Sindh
We conducted formative research on the political economy of water in North Sindh, mapping power relations, governance structures, and access issues. The study provided evidence to shape inclusive and effective water management interventions.

Developing Draft Water Policy for Sindh Province
We supported the development of a draft provincial water policy to guide Sindh’s sustainable water management. The policy framework emphasized equity, efficiency, and climate resilience, laying the groundwork for future reforms.

AWARE (Oct–Dec 2017)

Development of Gender-Inclusive Advocacy Training Manual
We created training materials on advocacy for gender inclusivity in water policies and conducted two training events. The initiative empowered stakeholders to champion women’s participation in decision-making processes around water governance.

ACF (Jul–Dec 2020)

Training of Trainers in Kitchen Gardening and Food Processing 
We conducted a series of training sessions to equip trainers with knowledge and skills in kitchen gardening and food processing. This initiative promoted household nutrition, income generation, and community resilience through practical and sustainable practices.

Indus Consortium (Jan–Mar 2020)

Pakistan Debt Brief
This assignment produced a concise yet impactful brief analysing Pakistan’s debt landscape. The document highlighted key trends, fiscal challenges, and implications for sustainable development, offering stakeholders evidence-based insights for advocacy and policy dialogue.

WSIP Project Completion Report
We prepared the completion report for the Water Sector Improvement Project (WSIP), documenting achievements, lessons learned, and overall impacts. The report provided a clear account of outcomes while informing future water sector programming.

Laar Humanitarian Development Organization (May–Jun 2019)

Participatory Poverty Assessment with Gender Focus
This assessment applied a participatory approach to explore poverty dynamics with a focus on women’s strategic life choices. The findings informed programming and advocacy efforts to advance gender equality and social justice.

CAB International Central & West Asia (Nov 2017–Mar 2018)

Impact of Better Cotton Initiative
This study assessed the outcomes of the Better Cotton Initiative in Mirpurkhas and Sanghar. The evaluation captured improvements in farming practices, livelihoods, and environmental sustainability, contributing to evidence-based program strengthening.

Identification of Policy Gaps in Irrigation & Drinking Water Laws
Our work involved analysing existing policies and laws in Sindh to identify critical gaps in irrigation and drinking water management. The study offered recommendations to improve governance, equity, and access.
